Likes:  
  • Easy to navigate home page (it's very clean and simple)
  • There is an archive section with all the past years posts. 
  • Lot's of information on the teacher-librarian- contact information.
Dislikes:
  • I don't have any dislikes about this website.

There are a lot of fun activities that they highlight on the website,
such as summer reading bingo, various contests held in the library, and student book reviews.

How does their library differ from ours:
  • They are only open at lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday.
  • On their Instagram (embedded in their blog) there are a lot of posts about individual books that the teacher-librarian reads. 
  • They hold a lot of contests for the students. 
How is the library like ours: 
  • They advertise their Surrey Teen Reads books a lot.
  • They have a website with most of their information and its sort of blog-style.

Are there links to helpful resources? There are links to different helpful resources. 

  • There's a whole page for research tools (such as bibliography makers, how to Google power search, note taking tips, plagiarism, and many more.)
  • Student services (surreyschoolsone, online databases, homework help, exam assistance, and scholarships.)
Likes: 
  • There's a page for if you are interested in taking library science as a course. 
  • There's a page for getting to know the staff- who they are, what they have been reading, and how they can assist you. This could make someone feel more comfortable going in the library.
  • On the home page, there are quick links to all the useful resources. 
Dislikes:
  • Their printer costs money to use.
Kinds of Activities they highlight: 
  • There is a book club for students that like reading. 
  • There are reading buddies, where you can read with ELL students.
What are their computer use/ circulation policies: 
They have iPads, 34 desktop computers, 3-D printer, digital cameras, KOBO readers that students can use and also technological support, but there wasn't any policies on the circulation.

  • They have a bookable seminar room.
  • You can make loan requests without going in the library and a staff member will deliver it to you.

Enver Creek~ Enver Creek Library Learning Commons - Writing and Research

Are there links to helpful resources? There are links to different helpful resources. 

  • Student services and homework help (Online Databases, Homework Help, Exam Assistance, Scholarships and More)
  • There are subject guides to help with English, science, humanities, and more.
Likes: 
  • The website layout is simple and easy to navigate.
  • The subject guides seem really helpful if you need help in a certain class. 
Dislikes:
  • I wish there was more info on the teacher-librarian, so people could get to know her better.
Kinds of Activities they highlight:
  • There is a book club that reads a lot of titles each year and they meet from October to April.
What are their computer use/ circulation policies: 
  • There isn't any information on computer use/ circulation policies.

  • There aren't any photos of the library on their website.
How does their library differ from ours:
Their website doesn't show or tell us about the actual library space, but from what they have, I can tell that mostly everything is the same. 
How is the library like ours: 
Very similar goals and code of conduct rules. Things like supporting student achievement, encouraging reading, and providing up to date resources in different formats. The rules are also pretty much the same- only using computers for educational purposes, no eating and loud discussions.
